Interview with Harry, Qtip, Hanna, DoneMyTime, Linda, Missy, Josh, Alex and Chrissy
JM: How many meals did you get per day? Harry: We had three meals a day. Qtip: 3 Hanna: 3 DoneMyTime: 3 Linda: THREE IF YOU'ER COUNTING THE LUNCH THAT YOU
RECEIVE WITH BREAKFAST. YOU EAT BREAKFAST ABOUT 7-
8AM AND THAT'S WHEN YOU RECEIVE YOU COLDCUT
SANDWHICH FOR LUNCH. Missy: 3. Josh: 3. Breakfast at approximately 6:30 a.m., lunch
at approximately noon and dinner at approximately
6:30 p.m. Inamtes regularly engage in trading
food from the meals. Beverages tend to be powder
mix (like Kool-Aid) to which sink water is
added. The lunch meal is always a sandwich. Alex: Three. Chrissy: 3 TIMES A DAY
JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why. Harry: Worse than old school food we used to have to eat. Qtip: on a scale 1 - 10 maybe a 4 or 5 Hanna: Worse then the worst school cafeteria food you have had. They
must have out MSG in the food as well because you got a little
dinner and were extremely bloated right after. So Im sure it was
added to make the inmates feel full. You were starving at least 30
minutes after you ate! DoneMyTime: scale 1-5 it would rate a 2 Linda: ON A SCALE 1-5.I'LL HAVE TO GIVE IT A 1. Missy: TERRIBLE. Josh: Poor. Alex: The food was pretty good. A few things served to
me were not appealing. However, for the most part,
I can only complain that the meals were too small
and left me hungry. Chrissy: BEST OF ALL COUNTIES
JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals? Harry: No, I would eat enough to survive and give the rest away. Qtip: least- fish fav-chicken Hanna: The spicy "chicken" was okay, and the cereal in the morning. Those
are the two safest things to eat. The fish and the sponge bob cake
was absolutely disgusting! DoneMyTime: no Linda: COLD CERAL WAS MY FAVORIT.I DISLIKED EVERYTHING
ELSE. Missy: NO. Josh: Bread. Alex: My least favorite was the fish. It wasn't so much
bad as it was bland. Literally void of flavor. The
corn bread served with a few of my dinners was my
favorite; it was possibly the best I've had. Chrissy: LUNCH
JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it? Harry: Commissary was offered, you fill out a sheet of what snacks you
want, then the following week you received the food. This was only
available if you had money on your books. Qtip: whatever u brought on commisary Hanna: No, if you had a special diet, you got some fruit at lunch and at
night. Or if you were pregnant or breast feeding. Other then that
you could order food from the store once a week, with a $40.00
limit. That is if you had money on your books. DoneMyTime: no, you have to purchase on sunday and get items
the following week Linda: STUFF THAT YOU COULD BUY ONCE A WEEK.
Missy: NO ASIDE FROM THE ONES YOU PAY FOR ON COMMESSARIE. Josh: Commissary is available. and a Food Kit may be
ordered for approximately $12.12. It contained 2
soups, small chips bag, tang, oreos, chocolate
donuts, large BBQ chips bag, duplex cookies,
jolly ranchers, large cheese crunch bag, carmel
popcorn, honey bun and a Snickers bar. Must have
money in the inmate's account for both. Alex: We could purchase snacks. However, none were given. Chrissy: NOPE
How much money should I have in my account? I would want to get as much as I'd be aloud to get on both commisary, and at the store. I'm looking to be in for maybe 30 days. So, how much money should I have to put in my account?
